Mwaungulu injured, Gabadinho suspended against Sao Tome

Malawi National Football team will not have their captain, Gabadinho Mhango and star attacker Patrick Mwaungulu, who have all been ruled out due to suspension and an injury respectively.

The team's head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, confirmed about the recent development saying the duo are out but he believes that the squad he is having can produce good results.

Meanwhile, ahead of the match, he warned his charges against underrating Sao Tome despite that they concede a lot of goals.

"We need to remain positive in our minds and do the right thing at a time so that we can indeed score many goals and win in this match. Every team is tough at their home so we need to wotk hard for a win," Pasuwa said.

Following the absence of Mhango, Babatunde Adepoju and Mayele Malango could be handed as full debut in replacement of the captain as the Nigerian born forward is yet to play for the team.
