Ndirande Stars hand Jenda their 9th defeat
Ndirande Stars recorded their third win of the season to move out of the NBS Bank National Division League after beating Jenda United 2-1 in a match played at the Mpira Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The team continues to enjoy their current form in the League as they handed Jenda their 9th straight defeat of the season to remain without a win and no point at the bottom of the table.
Khaleed Alli opened the scores on 36th minute from the spot but Nyson Nyirenda levelled the scores 6 minutes later before Alli restoring the lead with his second of the day five minutes into the added time of the first half to seal the win.
Head coach for the team, Robert Daudi, said the game was very tough but thanked his boys for the win to maintain a perfect run of results in the League.
"I'm happy with the win today, of course it was a very tough game as our friends have never won a match in the League so that came hard and really worked hard into the
game but we fought hard and got those two goals." Said Daudi.
On his part, Uchizi Nkunika of Jenda United described the game as very painful as his boys failed to perform the way they prepared for this match.
"We have lost but this is the most painful defeat in the League, we haven't won a game yes but this has been painful, the team failed to deliver today, we accept and move on." Said Nkunika.
The victory took Stars up to 8th on the table with 12 points from three wins, three draws and three defeats while Jenda remain bottom with no point from 9 defeats in the League.
