Zitha stun Bangwe as Chintheche blames officiation
10-man Namitete Zitha came from a goal down to claim a 2-1 win over Chintheche United to move into the top four of the NBS Bank National Division League at the Mchinji Community Ground on Sunday.
The visitors went ahead through Chikondi Banda on 24th minute in the first half but substitute Lawrence Chilenga levelled the scores before Mathews Hamza sealing the win with 8 minutes left on the clock.
Head coach for Zitha, Richard Fosiko, hailed his boys for the brilliant performance into the second half that helped claim the win.
"It was a tough game as our friends came hard in the first half they dominated and got a goal but in the second half, we kept on pushing then we got those two goals. I'm happy with the win today." Said Fosiko.
On his part, Assistant coach for Chintheche, Isaac Kajeke, said referees contributed to their downfall into the match.
"We started well in the first half where we got a goal but second half we
dropped our performance and our friends utilised their chance and equaliser then we saw some decisions which led to the frustration of our players so I should say that we have lost today because of referees." Said Kajeke.
The win took Zitha up to 14 points from four wins, two draws and one defeat on position four in the League while Chintheche drop to number 6 with 11 points from three wins, two draws and two defeats.
