ANALYST SAYS SILVER WAS MPONDA'S TESTING FIELD

One of the country's soccer analyst, Justin Mitambo, says Peter Mponda's move from Silver Strikers shows that he wanted to prove FCB Nyasa Big Bullets bosses that he can do great things but was not into the Bankers' project.

He said this following the resignation of Mponda at the Area 47 side and as per Wa Ganyu reports, he is making a return to the People's team to replace Kalisto Pasuwa who has departed at the team.

He said for one who has won the League and is in a project of making the team grow, he could not leave the project just like that and that may be a mistake of his career.

"This decision has just shown that Peter Mponda's heart was not at silver strikers because under normal circumstances you don't expect someone who has just signed a contract to resign. I think Mponda went to silver just to prove a point to bullets that he is capable. No wonder after being approached by Bullets he couldn't think otherwise." Said Mitambo.

However, he said Mponda's decision is the best as he knows that he can perform better as well with People's team and also with the issue of money.

Mponda was Kalisto Pasuwa's assistant before leaving the team for Black Leopards in South Africa and then joined Silver Strikers in a title winning 2024 season.
