FOMO MISS CHANCE TO GO TOP IN NDL

FOMO FC failed to claim the top spot in the NBS Bank National Division League after playing out their third draw of the season in a 1-1 stalemate against Bangwe All Stars at Mpira Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The team found themselves trailing in the first half after Lyson Nkhoma put Bangwe ahead in the 24th minute. Sebastian Chinsomba leveled the scores from the spot in the 50th minute to snatch a point.

FOMO could have moved up to 8 points with a win, but missed the chance after dropping two points from the game.

Head coach Bishop Ntchindi Mhango said his team needs to work on their striking force as they are struggling to score goals.

“We created a lot of chances and could have scored two to three goals, but we failed. It means we need to look into that problem immediately,” said Mhango.

He however hailed his team for at least getting a point from away games, saying the points will be valuable in the league.
