Mighty Mukuru Wanderers head coach, Meke Mwase, says every team including his team wish to win the league this season and that the battle is still on.
He said this after his team failed to trim their gap on Silver Strikers to 6 points after recording a goalless draw at the Dedza Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking after the match, Mwase said the match was very tough as they played away from home and thanked his boys for trying to secure a win.
After being asked if he is still optimistic about winning this year's league, Mwase said every team wish so.
He said: "It's every team's wish to win the league."
The Nomads are now 8 points adrift leaders, Silver Strikers as they have 32 points from 17 games they have managed to play this season.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will not have their two Reserve side graduates, Crispin Mapemba and Chikumbutso Salima, who are injured when they play Red Arrows in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round match on Sunday.
The team's head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa confirmed about the news ahead of the match at the Bingu National Stadium and said the team's problem again is having many injuries.

"IT'S ANOTHER MATCH! A DIFFICULT ONE" - MWASE
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers head coach, Meke Mwase, says he is going to employ another tactical approach when they face Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos as they need to treat their opponents differently.
This comes after the Nomads demolished Mzuzu City Hammers 8-0 with a 3-5-2 system and Mwase said he is going to change the approach against Dynamos at the Dedza Stadium on Sunday.
"We are very prepared for the game the boys look very sharp and we are hoping that we will get a win. It's another game that is going to be tough so we need to take it seriously in order for us to win." Said Mwase.
He said a win would be important for the Nomads as they will keep on moving up and closer to Silver Strikers who have opened a wide game on them in the league.
The Nomads have 32 points from 16 games in the TNM Super League and second on the standings.

Ascent Academy director and head coach, Thom Nkolongo, says his side is upbeat to kick off the COSAFA CAF Women's Champions League campaign with a win when they play Young Buffaloes from Eswatini on Friday afternoon.
Nkolongo said this ahead of the match saying the team are in the competition not just to participate but to compete and has promised Malawians to record a win in their first match.
"We will fight to secure a win this afternoon as the girls are very ready to showcase what we have been preparing. We are into the tournament not to participate but to compete so we did well in the local tournament and that's where we will start off in this tournament." Said Nkolongo.
This is the first time Ascent Academy is playing in the tournament but second from Ntopwa Super Queens in Malawi after they played in 2023.

Haiya promises more international tournaments hosting
Football Association of Malawi President, Fleetwood Haiya, says he is happy to host the first ever Women's international tournament and has promised to host kinds of these tournaments in his tenure.
Haiya said this after the kick off of the COSAFA CAF Women's Champions League in Malawi at the Mpira Stadium on Thursday afternoon where 8 teams from different countries are meeting in a bid for a ticket to the fourth edition of CAF Women's Champions League.
Haiya said he is happy to host this kind of tournament which will help to expose talents in Malawi and also inspire young girls who also wish to play Football at a higher level to work hard and set goals.
He said if he is to be given 19 years just as the people which his predecessor, Dr Walter Nyamilandu Manda, stayed on the seat, Malawi will host many international tournaments.
He said: "This is not the first tournament to host in my 7 months stay as a president, remember we
had the four Nations tournament which was for men's football so in 7 months, we have had two tournaments, what if I am given 19 years then it will be more so I hope this wouldn't be the last tournament to host."
Meanwhile, the minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Uchizi Mkandawire thanked the government for their support in the women's football and pledged for more support in different sporting activities and national teams.
He said, "Government is committed in supporting football in all spheres as we are building different stadiums in the country and also we have been supporting national teams in different tournaments so we need to see them performing well and we remain committed to continue helping them."
The tournament started with group A matches as Herentals Queens from Zimbabwe beat FC Ongos Ladies from Namibia 3-1 in an early kick off match whereas 2022 edition Champions, Green Buffaloes from Zambia managed to beat University of Western Cape from South Africa 1-0.
