Ntopwa, Bangwe All Stars coach sworn-in as BT City mayor
Kukoma Ntopwa Queens and Bangwe All Stars owner and coach, Isaac Jomo Osman, has been sworn in as a mayor for Blantyre City council after claiming a victory in an election held at the Blantyre City Council offices on Friday.
Osman got 15 votes, four better than his closest competitor Eric Mofolo who got 11 votes while Joseph Makwinja got just four votes.
Osman expressed his happiness over the victory and has promised major transformation in the city under his tenure.
For the past year, he served as a deputy mayor before being handed the top position for the next two-and-half years.
Meanwhile, DPP ward councillor from Limbe–Chiwembe Ward, Gerald Lipikwe, has been officially elected as the Vice Mayor of Blantyre City.
