Nyirenda, Nyondo return as Wanderers eye top spot

Mighty Wanderers will have their star defender Emmanuel Nyirenda and forward Clement Nyondo back in the team when they face Karonga United on Thursday as they return from injuries that kept them out in the past matches.

The team's head coach, Bob Mpinganjira, has confirmed about the news saying it is only Chimwemwe Nkhoma who is injured at the team but the duo could play prior to doctors' certifaction.

Meanwhile, Mpinganjira has described the game as tough but said they are ready for the match.

''They will come hard on us with hopes of winning but the players are ready and know the importance of the match,'' he said.

A win for the Nomads will take them up to the top of the League as they will leapflog FCB Nyasa Big Bullets which dropped points on Wednesday after losing 2-0 to Moyale Barracks.

They are second with 59 points from 17 wins, 8 draws and one defeat.
