"WE LOST THE LEAGUE ON WEDNESDAY AGAINST MAFCO" - MPINGANJIRA
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers interim coach, Bob Mpinganjira, says their 2-2 draw against MAFCO last Wednesday at the Kamuzu Stadium confirmed their defeat in the TNM Super League title race which also minimized their efforts in a game against Silver Strikers.
He said this after their 1-0 defeat over Silver Strikers at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon, which confirmed Silver Strikers as the Champions for the 2024 season.
He said, "I think we lost it when we drew against MAFCO, had we won it I think something could have happened in this game [against Silver Strikers] but all in all the boys tried."
He further said much will be now drafted to the Castel Challenge Cup as the team will fight in order to have a silverware this season.
The Nomads remain second in the League with 54 points from 28 games and will play Creck Sporting Club and Moyale Barracks away from home to finish their League matches.
