"IF IT WAS BULLETS BUT WANDERERS CAN'T CATCH US" - MPONDA
Silver Strikers head coach, Peter Mponda, has pulled hot words on second placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers saying they are not afraid of them coming behind them but if it was FCB Nyasa Big Bullets it was their threat.
Mponda said this after his team's 1-0 win over Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday at the Silver Stadium where he downplayed any pressure from the Nomads in the race for the title.
"I don't think there's any team that is giving us pressure, if it was Bullets I would say that was dangerous but Wanderers can not catch us. I see now they are playing three four games at home so that they win all and move closer to us but we will be winning ours and by the time they will be playing the tough games, the League will be gone." Said Mponda.
The top two teams are separated by 7 points in the League as the Bankers have 48 points while the Nomads have 41 points from 20 games in the League.
