CHAWINGA SENDS KC CURRENT INTO SUMMER CUP FINAL

Scorchers forward, Temwa Chawinga, scored on her return from injury to help Kansas City Current reach the final of the summer Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over North Carolina Courage on Wednesday morning.

Chawinga scored just three minutes into the game to put KC Current in a commanding lead in the first half before Debinha wrapped up the game on 78th minute then she was replaced on 82nd minute of the game.

This was her first goal in the tournament in two games she has played and has one assist as well.

KC Current will then play Gotham FC, which beat Angel City 1-0, in the final of the tournament.
