PEMBA RENEWS NOMADS PARTNERSHIP
Pemba Rubber Stamp has renewed their partnership with Mighty Mukuru Wanderers for the 2024 season as the company will continue awarding player of the month at the team.
This has been disclosed on Friday afternoon at the Golden Peacock in Blantyre when the two sides signed papers in agreement to the extension of the deal.
Speaking during the signing in ceremony, the managing director of the company, Davie Pemba, said his company thought of coming back at the team because players were left motivated when getting these awards in 2023.
"We thought it wise that we should extend the deal because Wanderers worked hard and performed well last season only that they missed the trophies but players played well because they were motivated with these awards."
"Now this year, we are expecting them to perform better than they did last year and that may be this year they can win the trophies." Said Pemba.
Meanwhile, the team's Chief Executive Officer, Panganani Ndovi, said the deal will help in developing football in the country and also restoring the team's glory, which they are working now.
"We are very happy to have extended this partnership, i think this is one way of making the game uplifted and also that players get motivated when they win these awards as they go with something and also the driving skills which will help them in life after football as they will display these skills and accolades." Said Ndovi.
As stated by Pemba, the company will award the player of the month with a miniature, amount of K300,000 plus driving school lessons offered at K700,000 which will be offered to the player and also his relative if he already knows how to drive.
The partnership is for one year, that's 2024 season, and it will start from the month of April to December this year.
