Baka City has become the latest team to cry out about the officiation after saying that the referee frustrated their players so that they lose their match on Saturday.

The team's team manager, Alick Zungu, said this after they lost 0-2 to Silver Strikers and said his team played well very, managed to control the game but referees got a hand in their defeat.

"We played very well but I have never complained about officiation but this have to speak on what happened today. There are a lot to be done because this affects the team's, this is not good at all." Said Zungu.

Meanwhile, he said fans should wait as the team will start picking wins soon because their play has improved and in the Silver game, they could have won but the referee stunned them.

The team remain winless in the debut season in five games as they have managed to make a draw but have lost all remaining four games to have a point on position 16.

"OUR FIRST WIN IS AGAINST SILVER" - MUYOMBE

Baka City interim coach, Davie Muyombe, said enough is enough as they are going to pick their first ever TNM Super League win on Saturday as they play Silver Strikers in their fifth game of the season.

Muyombe said this ahead of the match at the Karonga Stadium and said his team needs a win more so that they move up further in the log table and the win will comes on Saturday.

"We have prepared very well maybe we failed to win in Blantyre because of some technical errors but this time we have sorted them out and I'm telling you that our first win will be tomorrow."

"We need that win more because it's not looking good, we are anchoring the table so now with a win tomorrow, we will move up maybe to 7th or 8th on the table." Said Muyombe.

The rookies have only manage to collect only a point in the league as they lost three games and drew one to sit on position 16 of the log table.

"WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A GOOD TEAM SOON" - MUYOMBE

Baka City interim coach, Davie Muyombe, said his team is showing some positive signs of becoming a good team if they earn much experience of the team after getting inspired in their performance against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

The coach said this after suffering a 2-1 defeat against Bullets on Saturday at the Kamuzu Stadium and said his boys gave Bullets respect but showed signs of becoming a good team.

"It's a painful loss, it happens in the game of football, we created much spaces for Bullets and hence we were punished but the boys look sharp and we will have s good team soon." Said Muyombe.

Baka City remain winless in the league after four matches and are 15th having collected just a point in the league.

CHIUKEPO ENCOURAGES BAKA AHEAD OF BULLETS CRASH

Former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Striker, Chiukepo Msowoya, stormed into Baka City camp to encourage the team to do better when they face FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on Saturday.

The team's coach, Davie Muyombe, thanked Msowoya for coming saying he has motivated the players and that their morale has been boosted as the legend is also from Karonga.

Going into the game, Muyombe, said it is a must game win considering on where the team sits on the log table.

"It's a tough one, a big match against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets but it's a must win seeing at where we are on the log table so we are prepared for the game, we have no option to win in the match." Said Muyombe.

The team is on position number 15 after collecting just a point from their three games they have played this season from a draw and two loses in their debut League campaign.

Baka City interim coach, Davie Muyombe, said he is targeting a win as they play Mzuzu City Hammers on Saturday at the Mzuzu Stadium so that it brings the confidence of players in the season.

Muyombe said this on Friday ahead of the match and said the departure of Oscar Kaunda has seen some things sorted at the club and is looking to perform well this season.

"We are well prepared for the match, our training had been good and the boys are in good shape, no injuries and we are out to win. A win will help to bring molare to the team so that we start winning games so we are ready." Said Muyombe.

He further confirmed that the players that missed their league opener last weekend have been cleared and will play against Hammers.

The rookies suffered a 0-1 defeat against Karonga United in a Kyungu derby last week and they are the only rookie not to have a win this season.

"WE MISSED SOME OF OUR PLAYERS" - MUYOMBE

Baka City started their journey in their debut Season on a low note after suffering a 1-0 loss in a Kyungu Derby against Karonga United on Sunday afternoon.

Substitute, Blessings Mwalilino scored the lone goal to seal the win for Karonga but Assistant coach for Baka City, Davie Muyombe, said he miss some players who are yet to be cleared by their teams.

"We played very well and everything is quite okay only that we were slow in defense but attacking well so we will try to fix that. We have some players who did not play because we are still discussing with their teams so when they come I think the journey in the league will be easy." Said Muyombe.

He also said he faces two experienced coached and has made him learn more from the match. The team is on 11th with no point from their first game.

Baka City head coach, Oscar Kaunda, has resigned from his position at the team despite having few days to kick off the 2024 season.

It has been heard that Kaunda and the team have not agreed on some terms such as salary and has opted to resign.

He was employed by the team two months ago to lead them in their debut season.

"I PROMISE GOOD RESULTS TO THE TEAM" - KAUNDA

Newly appointed Baka City coach, Oscar Kaunda, said he will work hard to bring good results to the team so that they stay in the league for years.

Kaunda said this on Monday when the club confirmed him as the new head coach and said he hopes to work well with his backroom staff for the betterment of the team.

"I am very happy to join the Baka family, they have trusted to deliver and its not only for me but with my fellow coaches will work together so that we perform well and stay in the team. I promise nothing but good results in our games." Said Kaunda.

Kaunda has not been with a team since his departure at Civo United and coached teams such as Karonga United and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in the past years.

The Clever boys were promoted into the top flight league after winning the SIMSO and Innobuild Northern Region Football League in 2023.

SIMSO and Innobuild Northern Region Football League champions, Baka City, continue to humble giants after beating Karonga United 1-0 in a friendly organized by Willy Yabwanya Phiri at the Karonga United on Wednesday afternoon.

Substitute, Lupakisho Kazingo, needed only 11 minutes to head home two minutes from time to grant the Clever boys a sweet victory in a newly formed Karonga derby.

After a barren 45 minutes, Baka went close through Mwakyembe and Sherrif Shamama whereas Davie Tobias hit the post for Karonga before Kazingo's introduction on 77th minute to seal the win on 88th minute.

In other games, Karonga United Reserve lost 1-0 to Karonga United whereas Karonga United Women beat St Marys Women 3-1 on the same pitch.
