Silver return top with Masters thrashing
Silver Strikers have returned to winning ways and are back on top of the FDH Premiership after hammering Masters FC 3-0 at the Silver Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Andrew Joseph and Festus Duwe grabbed their third and fourth goals of the season, respectively, in the first half before MacDonald Lameck's wonder-strike sealed the win in the second half.
Deputy coach for the team, Mapopa Msukwa, hailed the team for their brilliant performance in the game.
"It was a good game, a well-planned game and players played according to instructions we told them during training. We analysed Masters and we had a good plan for the game," he said.
The Bankers were coming from a 1-0 defeat to Blue Eagles last week and had to bounce back in style against Masters.
The win took them up to the top of the League with 9 points from three wins and one defeat in the League, level with Blue Eagles and Masters on second and third, respectively.
