Title Chase! Bullets, Silver Neck to Neck
Sunday's Nyasa Big Bullets 2-1 victory over Mighty Tigers has made the TNM Super League title chase hot.
Following the win, Bullets have leveled Silver Strikers points at 39 from 19 TNM Super League matches.
Hassan Kajoke was first to score through the spot after Precious Phiri was fouled in the 18-yard box by Tigers goalkeeper, Christopher Mikuwa.
In the last 15 minutes, Tigers pressurised the Bullets defense and it later beared them a fruit as they were awarded a penalty.
Precious Chipungu pulled one for the visitors but it was late for them to come into the game.
Despite leveling the points with the Capital City giants, Bullets are on second position with a narrow goal difference.
On Saturday, Silver failed to collect maximum points as they hosted Red Lions.

Much as I thank FAM for organising a friendly on FIFA calendar with Tanzania, they should also consider which teams we are facing in AFCON and World Cup so that we prepare well.
For instance, in AFCON we will meet teams from the north, like Cameroon and Ivory Coast. So we should be playing friendlies with those that play a similar type of football with our opponents.
The Malawi national team defender and left winger, Precious Sambani, has been ruled out of a friendly match against Tanzania on 13 June 2021 due to injury.
He has been replaced with Eric Kaonga formerly of Ekwendeni Hammers now with Nyasa Big Bullets. The national team has also included playmaker for Mighty Wanderers Vitumbiko Kumwenda on the list.
Surprisingly missing is Maxwell Gasten Phodo, top goal scorer in TNM Super League as of now.

Big Bullets Supporters, Let's pray silver must loose strong games on their way....ie:to loose against us,Karonga united,Noma and etc. Even saturday, must loose
I pray for silver strikes to come back with 0 or 2 points from their games against Chitipa&Karonga UTD respectively. In strong addition,to loose against the Malawi People's Team(THE BIG BULLETS)
My worry goes to Malawi National Team which is in camp. The way the coaching panel includes players who are not regulars in their respective clubs.
Players like goalkeepers: Brighton Munthali of Silver Strikers, William Thole of Wanderers and Ernest Kakhobwe for Nyasa BB. Are they taking them because of past experience or current performance?
Iām impressed with the inclusion of Nickson Mwase of Silver. This kid should be given a chance; he is national team material.
