Who captained the Flames when they won the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup?
#ThrowBack
The Malawi National Football Team won the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in 1978 and defended it in 1979.
This was after the team made their first appearance in the tournament in 1975.
Coached by Wonder Moreira, he believed in his squad and appointed Jack Africa Chamangwana as the captain.
The former Mighty Wanderers superstar was the second person to captain the Flames since the team was formulated.
But Jack is the first Malawian to captain Flames at the AFCON tournament in 1984 where Flames played against Ghana, Algeria and Nigeria in group games.
Where did Jack played his professional football? Don't miss out next week's #ThrowBack.
